i feel like the two books are both fanfic-y in different senses, like i wish you all the best is kind of on the wholesome angst with a happy ending side, while we are okay is disconnected and abstract, and maybe even thought provoking in a way? though i haven't read either in a while so i'm probably wrong lol. i really should get around to finishing the former though.
