first of all obsessed with this post and you documenting your varied tinhattery <3 and i love that you "ship" drarry. i'm not drarryphobic i have drarry friends etc. etc. ALSO i will never read trc because i'm inherently biased against maggie stiffwater but adam/ronan DOES kind of slap in theory... like "something about “tsundere” people being secretly softhearted and being quietly devoted for each other and just being Guys who are Dudes but having tender moments and also the magical elements make it EVEN BETTER" (nodding along) Yes Yes EXACTLY.
and i sooo get what you mean re: chemistry vs. personal storylines especially in bls....... LIKEEEE i love leesejin in mr. heart as we all know but the ship itself was just whatever like i don't even remember what happened. i do like tehoh as a ship from what i saw in edsae but it's also like would i have REALLY minded if they'd been given a bittersweet open ending instead... or if they broke up and realized that some things are just irreparable? i think itsay was a Good Story (obviously flawed, but still a production with heart and depth) and it didn't have to rely on the likability of its main ship to be compelling, even though bkpp undeniably have great chemistry as actors and were the main pull of the show. but sometimes other bls are much clumsier and #the_human_condition it presents is one steeped in romance and the endgame is to see Guys Who Are Dudes Fall In Love. like don't show me DEPTH or i'll kill you. jk... or am i
