korean chemi/unit names. so far we have 18 out of 7c2 = 21 possible combinations for member pairings. the ones marked with an asterisk are "unofficial"/fan-made/haven't been acknowledged by the members yet

🦌🦅 → 5년즈 (5-nyeonjeu): five years (they've known each other for five years)
🦌🐕 → 라면즈 (ramyeonjeu): ramenz (they eat a lot of ramen together late at night)
🦌🐧 → 밀당즈 as a shortening of 밀크당근즈 (mildangjeu, milkeudanggeunjeu): milk carrot (they posted a selfie together with couple hoodies with #milk_carrot in their caption)
🦌🦊 → 민트즈 (minteujeu): mintz or mint boys (they posted a selfie together with matching mint sweaters with #mint_boys in their caption)
🦌🐈 → 쌍둥이즈 (ssangdungijeu): twinz (jungwon said on his i-land profile that he called heeseung his twin as an example of how their close friendship has transcended their three year age gap)
🦌🐆 → 맏막즈 (madmakjeu): eldest and youngest (they're also called fifaz because they play fifa together at night)

🐕🦊 → 어머뿔즈* (omoppuljeu): oh my gosh/crown unit (taken from an abbreviation of txt's crown/어느 날 머리에서 뿔이 자랐다. they performed this stage together on i-land) 
🐕🐈 → 댕냥즈 (daengnyangjeu): dog and cat (comes from 댕댕이/dog for jake and 냥/cat for jungwon)

🐧🦊 → 쿵야즈 (kungyajeu): kungyas (they resemble these korean cartoon characters)
🐧🐈 → during their crafts vlive they called themselves 정성 (jungsung): just combining the first parts of their two names. they're also referred to as 태릉즈 (taereungjeu): taereungz (sunghoon trained at taereung national training center as a figure skater, and jungwon aspired to do the same while he was a taekwondo athlete). fans might also use 백야즈* (baegyajeu): baekyaz (sunghoon resembles a baekgu/korean jindo while 야 is taken from 야옹/meow because jungwon resembles a cat)

🦊🐈 → 포켓즈* (pokesjeu): pocketz (the actual name comes from 폭스/fox for sunoo and 캣/cat for jungwon)

🦌🦅🐕🐧 → 형라인 (hyung line): hyungs (they're the oldest members)
🦌🐧🦊 → 펰럽즈 (pekleobjeu): fake love unit (they all performed that stage on i-land)
🦅🐕🐧 → 공이즈, 02즈 (gongijeu): 02z (they're all born in 2002)
🐕🐧🐆 → 10년즈 (10-nyeonjeu): ten years (they mentioned during one of their vlives that they each did one thing for ten years: jake living in australia, sunghoon figure skating, niki dancing)
🦊🐈🐆 → 동생라인 (dongsaeng line): dongsaengs/maknaes (they're the youngest members)

STAGE NAMES VS. REAL NAMES

 explaining my choice of names i use for enhypen members within fanfic

• jay: i use jongseong in both dialogue and narration. i think in general jay is a lot less americanized than i-fans make him out to be. while he did spend his childhood in the united states, he also attended a korean elementary school. two korean middle schools, and two korean high schools... there are a lot of instances of other members (especially heeseung, sunghoon, and jungwon, who have known him the longest) messing up on vlive and calling him jongseong by accident, and he goes by jongseong at school. i think this tweet sums it up the best:

• jake: i use jaeyun in dialogue and jake in narration. unlike jay, jake actually spent the majority of his life in australia and only came to korea in 2019. i think he's assimilated very well and there are instances of members calling jake "jaeyun," and he said he liked it when fans call him jaeyun as well--but he did spend the first seventeen years of his life being called jake or jakey in australia.
• ni-ki: i use niki in dialogue and riki in narration. i haven't seen a single instance of enhypen members calling niki "riki," but it is his real name. 
• update 3/8/2021: during the 2021.03.05 maknaez vlive sunoo specifically stated he refers to enhypen members by their stage names because he got used to it during i-land, whereas jungwon prefers calling people by their "real" names because it's more familiar. outside of that i default to what's written above
