txt and enhypen timeline

a timeline of enhypen and txt interactions, version 2 of my original "txt and enhypen interactions" post because i figured it would be easier to sort things in chronological order. feel free to let me know if i missed anything! this definitely isn't comprehensive T___T last updated: 6/30/2021.

2020

I-LAND

• when heeseung first appears on i-land, he mentions training with the txt members and watching them debut in relation to his own trainee arc. they include more of heeseung's original interview here, where he says that he had trained with the txt members for 1-2 years and that his own path to debut took longer than he had expected.
• during the i-land finale, the cameras pan to taehyun in particular when heeseung's debut is announced and yeonjun mentions that he had trained with some of the former enhypen members.

SEPTEMBER

• taehyun talks about watching the i-land finale and later congratulating the enhypen members on their debut during his 2020.09.28 vlive. in particular taehyun mentions that he used to practice with heeseung after the other trainees had already left the practice room.

NOVEMBER

• based on txt's hair colors/taehyun's cast, it seems that txt and enhypen film playground, a special variety show, together during this month

DECEMBER

• as an mc on music bank, soobin interviews five of seven enhypen members in this clip, and sunoo interviews soobin a week later.
• soobin also discusses his interview with the five enhypen members during his 2020.12.05 vlive and says that they were very cute and nervous.
• during his 2020.12.05 vlive, soobin mentions that there's a groupchat between txt and enhypen members.
• during his weverse interview, heeseung mentions how seeing yeonjun as a trainee had inspired him to work at improving his singing.

  I was heavily influenced by YEONJUN from TOMORROW X TOGETHER when I came to Big Hit. Up until then, I had a sense of pride. I thought, well, I’m pretty good at singing, right? But after I saw YEONJUN, I realized I was totally fooling myself. (laughs) I felt like YEONJUN is the kid who gets perfect in every subject and I’m the one who gets, about 80 in one class and goes around bragging about it... From then on, I tried to really show off everything I’ve got on stage, which is different from how I used to be.

  in the korean version of the interview, he switches from "yeonjun-sunbaenim" to "yeonjun-hyung" in the middle of his response.
• during the bighit new year's eve live, taehyun and heeseung, hueningkai and jay, and soobin and jungwon share stages together. heeseung posts a selfie with taehyun, hueningkai posts a selfie with enhypen's 02z, and jungwon posts a selfie with soobin.

2021

JANUARY

• during soobin's 2021.01.11 vlive, soobin mentions that he's close to enhypen members and that jungwon was the one who approached soobin for a selca
• during enhypen's 2021.01.12 vlive, jay mentions that he knew hueningkai from his trainee days. heeseung also mentions the nyel stage/taehyun a little bit.
• during his 2021.01.15 vlive, beomgyu mentions that he ran into enhypen in the bighit artist's lounge and they gave him a snack. he mentions heeseung by name in particular.
• during enhypen's 2021.01.31 vlive, heeseung mentions that txt's and enhypen's waiting rooms were next to each other at the smas so heeseung had went to talk to beomgyu. heeseung also says that he took a selfie with beomgyu although he isn't sure if he can upload it (and hasn't posted it...)

FEBRUARY

• during enhypen’s 2021.02.10 vlive, they mention filming playground (special lunar new year variety show). jake says it’s his first time meeting txt so it had been awkward, but that they were really kind. heeseung adds that he’s close with the txt members but he’d felt a little awkward in front of the cameras.
• txt and enhypen's playground variety show airs on february 11 (episode 1) and 12 (episode 2)
• during soobin's 2021.02.16 vlive, he mentions that playground was filmed on the same day blue hour got their first win on the show (11/3) and also talks about sunghoon, ni-ki, and heeseung in particular.
• february 18: playground behind the scenes episodes for txt and enhypen are posted on youtube

MARCH

• during sunoo and niki's 2021.03.14 vlive, niki mentions that he watches yeonjun and jungkook's vlives

MAY

• as an mc on music bank, soobin interviews five of seven enhypen members in this clip

JUNE

• taehyun, kai, jay, and heeseung all appear on tmi news (episode 69)
• during txt's 2021.06.20 vlive, taehyun and kai mention filming the tmi news segment with heeseung and jay, and txt talk about how they used to be close to heeseung as trainees but things are slightly awkward now T___T (although taehyun says he's still comfortable with them!)
• during taehyun's 2021.06.30 vlive, jungwon makes a surprise appearance (he didn't realize that taehyun was on vlive at first) and taehyun says that jungwon is really cute
